I kept forgetting my newsletter. Now BlackOps sends it and tells my readers why.
Newsletter Autopilot: miss your own deadline and BlackOps writes the issue from what you published, in its own voice.

My last newsletter went out August 19. I published six posts after that and none of them reached the list. The writing was never the problem. Sending the newsletter was one more thing, and one more thing is what I drop.
So I built Newsletter Autopilot into BlackOps. I set a schedule. If I miss it, BlackOps writes the issue and sends it.
It does not pretend to be me. Ghost-writing a newsletter and passing it off as yours is the AI slop move, and readers can smell it.
It tells readers it's covering
Every autopilot issue opens with BlackOps saying, in its own voice, that I could not get to the newsletter this time, so it is stepping in. If my published posts show a reason, like I have been shipping a lot or I said I was traveling, it can name it. Otherwise it keeps it general.
Then it does the job. Every post I published since the last issue, a couple of sentences on why it is worth reading, and a link. My five most engaged original posts on X from the same stretch. It reads my last five issues for structure and never repeats something an earlier issue already covered.
My send always wins
The clock runs from my last send. Mine is every two weeks, Sunday at 10pm. If I send one myself, autopilot backs off and the next deadline moves out two weeks from that.
A day before the deadline it emails me a heads-up that nothing has gone out and it is about to send. It never sends without that heads-up.
What it won't do
- Send an empty issue. If I published nothing new, nothing goes out and I get an email saying so.
- Touch anything private. It only sees published posts, posts on X, and past issues. No notes, no drafts, no calendar, no clients.
- Send something that can't be delivered. No verified sending domain, no issue, and an email explaining why.
Every autopilot issue shows up in newsletter history marked "Sent by BlackOps," and I get a copy of exactly what went out.
Turn it on
Newsletters, then Settings, then Newsletter Autopilot. Pick the schedule, flip the switch. The details are in the Newsletter docs.
The newsletter is the one channel I own outright. It should not depend on me remembering.
